Our day began with an early morning start as we headed from Mzuzu to Chipata, Zambia at 4h30 in the morning. We arrived at the Protea Hotel in Chipata where the conference was to be held. 

The passed three days have been both challenging and fulfilling as we've journeyed up into Malawi. The border crossing going in from Zambia was quite smooth in comparison to the Botswana/Zambia border post. We proceeded to pick up Rev Joe  McCroskey, Ps John and the entourage at Lilongwe international airport, Malawi.

Day 2 began with a ferry and border crossing. 3 hours of complete chaos later and we were headed towards Livingstone where we were surprised by a visit from Pastor Jacob Zulu. The trip continued on to the major city of Lusaka where we laid eyes on civilization after seeing bush for hours.

Promoting a positive life experience

After the morning service in Petauke, the team went back to the Kabaza village after dark with the promise of a better route  via a dirt road directed by members of the village. Wow what an adventure. A short drive of 6 km turned out to be 15 km having to climb out of the vehicle several times to check the access before arriving at the village. The purpose was to show to show the villagers, "The Passion of Christ" to which about 150 people arrived to watch this most moving account of Calvary. Whilst the film reflected subtitles Pastor Jacob Zulu, who is originally from the area, translated for the local villagers. After the film Sid briefly described the way of salvation, to which many folk, men, women and children responded to the invitation.

On Friday morning we had our scheduled conference in town where 80 pastors, leaders and bible students attended Pastor John's ministry on leadership. The delegates were excited as he shared the Blessing of God to Recognise, Empower and Release believers to a mission. He used the example of how the people of Malawi empower the President of a country with their vote which made the message so relevant.

After various introductions Brian was awarded his personal Certificate of Affiliation as our Heritage man in Malawi outlining the Principles of Agreement. It was indeed a proud moment for this most unassuming man of God, the epitome of humility.

We are grateful to Brian for his ongoing tenacity to obey God in his mission with Heritage o Faith.

On Thursday morning we met with the Malawi team members of the proposed new Heritage of Faith Ministries, Malawi. All of Brian's team members comprising several pastors of churches that have a desire to affiliate with us in establishing  a power house of word to build the kingdom of God.

Pastor John shared our mandate of ministry to Churches, Missions and Education that will provide training according to our purpose to Touch/Teach/Train and Transfer to young leaders who will run with the mission.

W further outlined our Affiliation process to recognise healthy relationships, working together with the purpose of promoting unity under the banner of Heritage. 

We were able to encourage the leaders to flow with the mandate that Brian received from the Lord to align himself with the Heritage mandate in Africa.

The ministry team also ministered to another village some distance out of Mzuzu with great joy.

We arrived safely in Mzuzu, within the Mzimba region of Malawi after a long 8 hour drive from Petauke, Eastern Zambia.
We manage the border crossing into Malawi, without too much hassle, in fact the Malawi people are most friendly, continually welcoming us into their country.

After a good night's sleep we awoke to meet with Brian Ndhlovu and his ministry team to discuss events for the week, then proceeded to a small village near Lupaso, just outside Mzuzu.
After the usual protocol of introductions and prayer Pastor John ministered a short and powerful message on the gift of life, "because He has given you everything, you can ask Him for anything," and He hears us.

The gratitude extended us was overwhelming and this gratitude is extended to the congregation who made this missions trip possible by their generosity.
In the afternoon we travelled to a rural school hall in Ekwendeni, a short distance outside Mzuzu, to minister to a local fellowship run by the ministry team. We were greeted with powerful praise by a young group and again Pastor John ministered a message around the person of Joseph in story form. The theme was to "dream with God who is listening and desires to grant success to His own."

What has amazed us is the way in which various churches and ministries work together so peaceably. You can taste the unity.
